Day 12 & 13: Bumming Around in Beijing

Monday 21 July, 2008 and Tuesday 22 July, 2008

These were my last two days of freedom before I had to start work for ONS as a Flash Quote Reporter and I spent them bumming around pretending to do Uni work and instead lunching with Lauren and going to Yashow Markets with the Girls. I know it’s terrible, but I really didn’t do anything, and it was kind of nice just to have an ‘Ash Day’ where I didn’t HAVE to do anything. I can’t remember the last time I had one of those! Well it won’t happen again any time soon so I don’t think I should feel too bad.

I didn’t really like Yashow, mainly because they didn’t want to play ball when it came down to bargaining. If you named a low price to start with, they got the shits and snatched the item out of your hands and made a gesture for you to go away. Nast-ee. I think I’ll find myself a better market, one where the clothes are cheaper and the people are nicer. Or maybe I’ll just go to a shop next time.
