Day 16: Meeting the Crew

Friday 25th July, 2008

Today was my second day at training and we spent the day getting to know our Sports Information Specialist, Robert Kabbas from Australia (look for him on YouTube) and our Olympic News Service Reporter Dennis Krasnov from Russia. Pretty well the entire day revolved around eating lunch at the nice restaurant on the top of the dining hall at Beijing University of Astronautics and Aeronautics (our venue). I had Peking Duck again, and it was as good as always. I think that will be the main thing I will miss when I get back home. Since I didn’t have to work the next day, that night we all went out to Lush for dinner and drinks. The place is amazing, cheap, fun and has great cocktails, of which I had a few too many.
One of the drinks was called (excuse the language) Adios Motherfucker... and it explained that it was called this because you can drink it if you want to say goodbye to your brain cells. It was lots of fun though, and I will definitely go back. Needless to say I had a bit of a sore head in the morning.
