Today was a bit of a nothing day. As soon as we got to work we were told to go to some ceremony out in the main section of the venue, so we went. And lo and behold we were met with some sort of Communist rally where all the volunteers were gathered to pledge their allegiance to BOCOG and promise to do our best. They talked forever, and then they finally played some marching songs and the Chinese national anthem and everyone sang whole heartedly except us (because we didn't know the words of course).
That night a big group of us went to the Red Lantern for dinner and we had duck and beer and it was good. Gotta love Poo Street restaurants.
