Today was more work. Nothing too exciting happened, mainly just going through flash quote scenarios and practicing translating with Language Services. When work was all done though, I went out with Jess and Rach and Mel and Manda to Yashow for a good night of shopping. When we got there, Manda and I were both stuffed so we found a Starbucks to get a pick me up, and while we were there, we stumbled upon a cool little shopping district called The Village – where the Apple store is also. I got some really nice stuff from there before we’d even gone marketing. That night I also got the Maxmara dress I’ve been eyeing off for a loooooong time, and for only $65 Aussie dollars, when the first offer I got for it was $200 Aus. I thought that was some bloody good bargaining! As well as that I bought a really pretty top, a vest and a red trench coat, so I will probably be sending some packages home I think. After a long night shopping, we went across the road to Purple Haze, my favourite Thai restaurant. We had an amazing feed for about $10 each, this is why I love Beijing! After dinner all the girls went home except Manda and I, who went in search of a manicure and pedicure and found a cool little place (called Sheela's, yes you heard right) which had comfy lounge chairs and good service. For $30 (steep for here) we got both done, plus had a delicious flower tea and were allowed to sit and relax until around 11:30pm! It was great. As soon as I got home I fell straight asleep I was so relaxed.
